Kshitij Foundation - India - South Asia
I am Deven Mehta, a zoologist with a Master’s in Avian and Wildlife Biology. As a researcher and artist, I explore the hidden lives of nocturnal species, with a special focus on nightjars—their movement ecology, breeding behavior, and species interactions. I also study the roosting ecology of raptors and have trained at the renowned Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Pennsylvania, USA, where I was also a member and former trainee.
I am the founding president of Kshitij Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Gujarat, India. Through Kshitij, I work to promote education, science, conservation, and sustainable living for ecological and socio-economic well-being. My mission is to blend research, fieldwork, and creative communication to inspire deeper connections with nature and foster a more conscious, eco-friendly society.
