Gabriel Norevik
Lund University - Europe
Gabriel is interested in how morphology, ecology and environment shape the spatiotemporal distribution patterns of long-distance avian migrants and addresses his research questions using flight mechanics and bird migration theory. He primarily studies movements of European nightjars using various types of individual-based dataloggers that record data on for example the bird’s location, flight altitude and flight activity. In his spare time Gabriel enjoys devoting time towards studies and education in feather moult and ageing of birds, with a focus on passerines present in Eurasia.
